Another Successful Spring Kick-Off/Movie Night

Colorado Whitewater's annual Spring Kick-Off/Movie Night was a huge success on March 30 at The Oriental Theater in Denver. Nearly 200 people came to enjoy food and drinks, watch inspiring paddling films, meet new boaters, and win cool gear from the raffle. Read more...

Upcoming CW Events


APRIL
April 17 - Open Pool Session: Come practice your roll, brace, and tricks in the warm Meyer's Pool. Admission is $9.75.

April 17 - Beginner Kayaking Class: 6 spots left! This introductory course is comprised of 4 separate sessions to provide a safe, gentle introduction into the world of whitewater kayaking. 

April 20 - Boating Betties FlixWatch women's specific instruction videos and hang out at Confluence Kayaks, on the sofa or in the pool with Boating Betties (aka other female kayakers).

April 23 - 11th Annual South Platte River Clean-Up: This is an all-volunteer event to pick up trash along the South Platte River. Come help out and give back to your community.

April 24 - Open Pool Session: Grab your kayak and gear and head to Meyer's Pool for the last day to play/practice in the warm pool. Admission is $9.75.

April 24 - Preparing for Class 4: This class is for the boaters who are confident on class 3 water, but want more.


MAY
May 3 - 2016 Spring Dinner: Featuring a presentation by pro-kayaker Steve Fisher, food from Biju's Little Curry House, and beer from Good River Beer and New Belgium Brewing.

May 4 - CPR/First Aid Class: All instructors, cruise leaders and sweeps are required to be Red Cross First Aid/CPR certified. As such, CW will again be providing FREE certification classes. Sign up quickly as there are only 4 spots left!

May 7-8 - ACA Swiftwater Rescue Clinic: CW has partnered with Whitewater Attainment for ACA Swiftwater Rescue Clinics for only $175 - 25% off the regular price. Sorry, this class is full. Can you still join the waitlist.

May 20-22 - 60th Annual Training Camp: Don't miss this fun-filled weekend of kayaking and SUP classes, camping, catered meals, meeting new paddlers, and entertainment. Register as a student, instructor, sweep, or "Fun Hog".

JUNE
June 4 - Lyons Outdoor Games: Colorado Whitewater is a proud sponsor of this festival. We'll have our booth set up along the river where the freestyle competition will take place. Plus, join a CW river cruise on the Saint Vrain Saturday morning.

June 10-12 - Poudre Weekend: Come camp at Ted's Place KOA Campground and kayak Saturday and Sunday with other CW members. It's FREE but registration is required.
