***Due to COVID 19 - all in-person CW Events and classes have been cancelled or postponed****
3/12/2020: In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Meyers pool has closed at least until April 5. We have suspended all enrollment in Colorado Whitewater pool classes as we monitor the situation. Students who have already registered and paid for classes will receive additional communication via email. We do not know, at this time, how the remainder of the pool season will be affected. At this time we are planning for Training Camp to be held as scheduled. Please monitor your email, the Colorado Whitewater Facebook page, and this website for additional details. If you have any questions, please direct them to our Instruction Director. Please understand that responses may be slower than normal as we are an all-volunteer organization.
For additional information on how to keep yourself and your loved ones safe, please reference the CDC, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and your local health department.
With the snow coming early in the Fall of 2019, runoff may be especially high again in 2020, if you are not familiar with a river and its levels refer to AW, Riverbrain, or a local guidebook. CW encourages everyone to choose safety over adventure by finding a group to provide instruction, never boating alone, taking a safety class, and staying within your experience and comfort zone.
Colorado Whitewater offers a variety of kayaking classes for beginners, intermediate, women only, and even kids.
Our classes are taught by volunteer instructors, who are certified by the American Canoe Association (ACA). ACA-certification is the national standard for professional kayak instructors. We charge a fee for each class, which is used to pay for expenses such as class costs, instructor certification fees, and liability insurance.

2020 Open Pool Sessions
You can also come to our open pool sessions at Meyer's Pool to practice and tune up your roll, brace, tricks, and other skills for the upcoming season on your own without instruction. The pool will be open for kayaking practice from 1:00 - 5:00 PM Sundays, starting January 12, 2020 through April 26, 2019. We will post dates on the main calendar if we learn the pool will be closed.
There are other open pools in the area as well.
****Please always check the related website or call to verify that the session is still available!****
Rates and dates may change at any time.
Refunds: Effective March 1, 2019, we will not be offering refunds for our pool instruction classes. We may be able to accommodate transferring your registration to another class. Please contact the Instruction Coordinator with questions.
